Starting his career as an actor, Luke performed alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and starred in the BAFTA-nominated children’s series Space Pirates, as well as several independent feature films. His passion for comedy led him to form the double-act Toulson & Harvey, earning a nomination for the prestigious Perrier Best Newcomer Award within just eight months. Luke’s stand-up journey began in September 2006, and within six months, he won the influential Hackney Empire New Act of the Year competition, joining the ranks of previous winners like Stewart Lee and Lee Mack. Since then, he has performed seven critically acclaimed solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, with one being named among the Top 10 Comedy Shows at the Fringe by Amused Moose. Luke has appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC), written for Stand Up For The Week (Channel 4), Stand Up For Sport Relief (BBC), and for comedians on Mock The Week (BBC 2) and Live at the Apollo (BBC 2). He is also a sought-after director, having directed several successful Edinburgh Fringe shows, including the Best Newcomer Nominated "Pippa Evans and Other Lonely People."
