City Comedy Club started in 2018 at the Water Poet, an historic pub with a great room. Legally 60 seater, though we sometimes accidentally went over.
The pub sadly was sold to building developers. On our last day at the Water Poet we had only a few chairs due to them being sold off earlier. We had to offer the audience with no seat a refund. Every one of them preferred to stay and watch the comedy standing.
Now we are at the Trapeze a nightclub located only 1 min walk from Old Street station. A great low ceiling room, perfect for Comedy.
