Spring Day is a New York stand-up comedian, writer and actor previously based in Tokyo, Japan. She has hosted at the legendary Carolines Comedy Club for Jordan Carlos, and was voted Brooklyn’s Best Comedian 2016.
A fluent Japanese speaker and a mild cerebral palsy haver, Spring has been headlining at the Tokyo Comedy Store since 2002 and has been performing all over the world since opening for Japanese comedian Zenjiro at the Melbourne Comedy Festival in 2004. She has written, produced, directed and performed five solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival since 2010. Spring has also performed at various clubs in London, Manchester, Dublin, Los Angeles, New York and Paris. She was featured in the 2008 documentary The Tokyo Comedy Store, the upcoming Joker Face book, and in the 2014 best selling book The Humor Code. “Spring’s gimlet-eyed perspective on life belies her Summer of Love name, but Tokyo’s most prolific comic can’t hide her underlying joy of life, even while recounting darker tales of love and loss in Tokyo.” -Chris Wells, Owner, Tokyo Comedy Store “A Definite Must See! ✭✭✭✭” – ThreeWeeks Buy London City Comedy Club Tickets below, or sign up for the Mailing list below to find out when this comedian will be popping in |
