Matt Foster
Introducing Matt Foster: The Master of Unexpected Laughter
City Comedy Club is proud to present Matt Foster, a powerhouse comedian whose charm and sharp wit never fail to ignite laughter. Bursting onto the scene in 2015, Matt quickly gained recognition and was signed by Yuk Yuk’s Comedy, Canada’s largest comedy club chain. Since then, he’s headlined comedy clubs from coast to coast, leaving audiences gasping for air.
With thousands of performances spanning Canada and the UK, Matt’s comedic prowess earned him a spot in the prestigious Just For Laughs Originals series, showcasing the best of Canadian comedy. Now based in the UK, Matt has also made appearances on BBC Radio London and continues to light up stages across the UK comedy circuit, as well as internationally.
Matt’s comedic style combines disarming likability with razor-sharp humor, drawing audiences in before hitting them with punchlines that come out of nowhere. His shows are an unforgettable experience, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats and bursting into laughter.
Marc Salmon
I’m Marc. I grew up in Kent but somehow escaped to London. I do stand up comedy about life, class, and the ongoing challenges of trying to be a decent person. Sometimes there’s music too, usually when I’ve run out of punchlines. Sometimes I play indie folk guitar, other times it is folk indie guitar. One time it was country. That was only once, I promise.
I’m also a practicing Buddhist (and I need a lot of practice). I share what I’m learning through weekly Positive Service Announcements on Instagram.
I like to spend my free time imagining better futures. You can explore some of my zines and ideas for ways to make the world a bit less terrible. Â
You can listen to my podcast, The Bardo Podcast, where I host philosophical conversations about inner and outer change, featuring voices from alternative perspectives.
Here are some nice things people have said (about me):
’Naturally funny’ - Mark Simmons
‘Plays the unusual POV expertly, with humanity and compassion. A Very funny dude.’ - Mike OT, Founder of The Free Association.
Great value. Great night out.
